Research and Technology Board is a collegial governing body of scientific and scientific-technical activities of the University, which performs advisory functions in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activities” № 848-VIII of 26 December 2015 and the Regulations on Research and Technology Board of Mykhailo Tuhan-Baranovskyi Donetsk National University of Economics and Trade.

Research and Technology Board :
- determinates the development strategy of the University and perspective directions of scientific and scientific-technical activity
- conducts scientific and scientific-technical evaluation of topics and results of research work
- approves current (annual) plans of scientific research and scientific and technical (experimental) developments
- decides on improvement and development of the University’s structure
- approves dissertation themes of higher education applicants at the third (educational-scientific) and scientific level of higher education and appoints scientific supervisors (consultants)
- approves the results of certification of researchers, graduate students, doctoral students, applicants and the results of the competition for vacant positions of researchers
- recommends outstanding scientific works for awarding prizes, medals and other types of awards, including international
- approves annual reports on the activities of the University and financial plans of the University
- approves the list of professions and positions of the University, where flexible working hours and remote working hours can be applied.
